The War Doctor never opted to choose a name or allowed himself to be referred by one, always choosing to introduce himself to others as 'No-one'. Initially young and robust but living a life of self-loathing, the Doctor was fuelled only by his desire to end the Time War, dubbing himself a monster, thinking it the only necessity in order to do what needed to be done. He appeared to be blunt, short-tempered, rude and incomprehensibly stubborn, he still garnered respect for other soldiers whom he fought beside and was seen as a war hero among Time Lord recruits but still a thorn in the side of the High Council.
